Attack outside her home leaves girl seriously injured

The incident occurred in Samayan Nagariya under the Airwa Katra police station area. Shweta, daughter of Satendra Kumar, was lifting some items outside her house after returning from coaching when a stray dog suddenly pounced on her. The animal reportedly mauled her face, leaving her bleeding profusely.

Hearing her screams, family members and nearby residents rushed to the spot. The dog fled before people arrived. Shweta was immediately taken to the Community Health Centre in Airwa Katra, where doctors provided primary treatment. Reports suggest that her condition is serious because of the deep wounds.

Villagers allege repeated attacks, demand action

The attack has caused serious concern among the villagers. Speaking to the media, locals said that a resident named Manish was also bitten by a stray dog on the same day. In another incident, a goat was attacked by stray dogs. Packs of stray dogs roam the lanes, making it extremely hard for children and the elderly to step out safely.
