Man seriously injured in Unnao stray dog attack, later referred to district hospital
On 24th December, a 41-year-old man was seriously injured after a stray dog attacked him in the Asivan police station area of Unnao in Uttar Pradesh. The incident triggered fresh concerns over stray dog attacks in rural pockets.
The incident took place around 11 am in Munda Mohiuddinpur village. The victim has been identified as Kamal Koshire. According to media reports, he had stepped out within the village to purchase rice when a stray dog suddenly attacked him.
Victim injured while trying to flee
Kamal was startled by the sudden attack and tried to run to save himself. However, in the process, he lost his balance and fell, leading to serious injuries. Family members rushed him to the Miyaganj Community Health Centre.
At the health centre, Dr D Nath provided primary medical treatment. Considering the severity of his injuries, the doctor referred him to the district hospital for further treatment.
Locals have urged the administration to take concrete steps to address the growing stray dog menace and ensure public safety, particularly in rural areas where medical facilities are limited and response time can be critical.
